(MENAFN) The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that 30 Japanese journalists and academics have been banned from entering Russia as part of a response to Tokyo’s sanction measures against Moscow.

“As part of the response to the ongoing so-called sanctions actions of official Tokyo against our country, linked to a special military operation, it was decided to indefinitely ban 30 Japanese citizens from entering the Russian Federation,” the ministry stated.

Alongside the announcement, the ministry released a detailed list of the affected individuals, including their full names, workplaces, and official positions.
