Japanese, Chinese Students Strengthen Ties

(MENAFN) The report exchange meeting for the "Hundred Japanese University Students Visit China" initiative took place in Tokyo on Tuesday, bringing together over 100 participants to discuss avenues for youth exchange and collaboration between the two nations.

The attendees comprised members of the Japanese student delegation to China, Chinese students studying in Japan, as well as representatives from overseas Chinese communities.
Participants from the visiting group shared that their repeated trips to China allowed them to gain a broader and deeper understanding of the country.

Beyond being impressed by China's advanced technology and rapidly transforming urban environments, they were captivated by its scenic landscapes and rich historical heritage.

They observed that their direct experiences helped them recognize persistent stereotypes about China in Japan, highlighting that the "real China" is diverse, open, and vibrant.

Former Vice Minister of Finance and Komeito Party senior advisor Otohiko Endo remarked that the youth in both Japan and China confront shared challenges, including sustainable development, and should collaborate to shape a common future.

He emphasized that, despite the complicated international landscape, sincere and heartfelt connections among young people can lay the groundwork for lasting friendship and future cooperation.
