Iran launces large-scale missiles attack on Israel
Reports indicate that Iran fired at least 40 missiles in a heavy barrage striking areas including Haifa, Tel Aviv, and other locations throughout the occupied areas and coastal and central regions.
An Israeli public broadcaster confirmed that missiles impacted at least ten distinct sites within the country. In addition, a channel reported five Iranian missiles landed in Israeli territory—three near Haifa and two in central Israel—while another described “an unusual event” in Haifa accompanied by multiple explosions.
Sirens blared across northern and central Israel, including in Haifa, where no prior alerts had been sounded during earlier attacks.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, Haifa suffered severe structural damage, with additional destruction noted in the Shephelah area and the Dan Bloc region, which encompasses Tel Aviv and its surrounding suburbs.
A news agency reported that a building in Greater Tel Aviv was directly hit, and numerous structures along the coastal region were destroyed due to the missile strikes.
Emergency responders from Magen David Adom attended several impact sites, initially reporting 11 injuries, including one individual in moderate condition.
