Israel, Iran Continue Exchanging Strikes
Authorities stated that millions of citizens across Israel scrambled to safety shelters as sirens wailed, set off by missile attacks originating from Iran.
According to an Israeli broadcaster, alerts for a potential drone penetration were activated in Nazareth and a number of nearby communities.
Earlier, the Israeli Air Force confirmed that it had neutralized a drone sent from Iran during the night, which had activated air raid warnings in different northern zones of the country.
A second drone was also brought down shortly after in the Jordan Valley.
Tensions in the area have significantly intensified since last Friday, when Israeli forces carried out air assaults on several targets within Iran, including military installations and nuclear-related sites, leading Tehran to respond with counterattacks.
According to Israeli officials, at least 24 individuals have lost their lives and hundreds more have sustained injuries as a result of Iran’s missile barrages.
Simultaneously, Iranian media reported that 585 people have died and over 1,300 others have been injured due to the Israeli offensive.
